SLOW BURN from Heathen

INTRO: F Am x4

F Am
Here shall we live in this terrible town
          F Am
Where the price for our eyes shall squeeze them tight like a fist
        F Am
And the walls shall have eyes and the doors shall have ears
          F Am
But we'll dance in the dark and they'll play with our lives

       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn leading us on and on and on
       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn turning us round and round and round
Bb Gm
But who are we so small in times such as these
     F Am
Slow Burn

SOLO: F Am F Am

    F Am
Oh, these are the days these are the strangest of all
F Am
These are the nights these are the darkest to fall
    F Am
But who knows echoes in tenement halls
F Am
Who knows though the years snare them all

       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn leading us on and on and on
       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn turning us round and round and upside down
        Bb Gm
There's fear over there there's fear over ground
     F Am
Slow Burn
     F Am

       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn leading us on and on and on
       Dm F
Like a Slow Burn turning us round and round and round
    Bb Gm
And here are we at the center of it all

The Intro bit is pretty hard to tab beacause its done with an E-bow

The tip below for afraid is for a passable acoustic version. If your a purist, take the cords you learn and try it without the capo! And Jamie Freeman, sorry mate but Slow Burn is in fact in F, not F#.

The lead part is starts on an A and wobbles a bit. Then the main lick is a variation on doing a half step bend on the second string at the twelveth fret in unison with an E on the 12th fret first string. Fool around in that positionand the A minor scale in the fifth position. And just as a side note, the transcription of afriad on this website is horrid. For a clue as to how to play it, capo the third fret and start on with an Am(relative to the capo). I really love this site so please keep up the good work!!

hi there, nice job on slow burn, though i do believe its a half a step flat relative to the album, i'd suggest players use include a F bass note on the Bb minor, when played in the right key... F Amin becomes F# Bb min/F Cheers JF

same comment can you tab the solos the introduction etc as it just doesn't sound right at the moment. otherwise nice work though

Hey Lovebolt Can you tab the solo bits of these songs individually? I enjoy looking over the chords but I've noticed most of the songs I find online skip over the best parts like solo and lead. Take Care - H.
